CANADIAN ORGANIZATIONS TEAM UP TO BRING RAINFOREST CONSERVATION TO YOUR MOBILE PHONE

May 2008- COTERC, the Canadian Organization for Tropical Education and Rainforest Conservation, and ecoImage, a Canadian eco-tech company, are partnering to bring the front lines of Costa Rican rainforest conversation to your mobile phone. Through the partnership, photos from COTERC project sites in Costa Rica will be provided for viewing and use on your mobile phone, along with interesting facts about the species we feature and their role they play in the greater rainforest ecosystem.

"COTERC is excited to be working with ecoImage. EcoImage completes the fundraising loop by providing a product to supporters which increases their awareness and connection to the ecosystems we work to protect." -June Enright, Executive Director ,COTERC

"COTERC is a natural fit for ecoImage. Both Canadian organizations, the partnership is symbolic of the leading role that Canadians are playing in global environmental issues. We look forward to helping raise funds and awareness for their important work." -Mark Rye, President, ecoImage [learn more about ecoImage]

"TROPICAL TREAT" GETS A NEW NAME

On September 29th at 6:30 pm, we will be holding our fall fundraiser, COTERC Fiesta Verde (previously named Tropical Treat). The re-branding of our annual event and the name reflects the new direction that this fundraiser will take. Each year we will focus on a different area, and this year it is “Project Rainforest”! This event will bring together 120-150 of COTERC’s valued members, family, friends and members of the community who share in our concerns and goals.

Our aim this year is to revitalize this much-loved event—bringing new energy, fantastic food and entertainment in the process. Don’t miss what will prove to be a magical evening! Tickets are $75—hurry to get yours before it’s sold out! For more information and for advance tickets, please follow this link: EVENTS!
